Community Speed Checks Hurst

Hurst Parish Council chairman Wayne Smith with a community speed watch volunteer carrying out a valuable role in helping the fight against dangerous drivers who speed through the village.
Using Hurst Parish Council's own speed detection equipment villagers can now monitor traffic speed entering and leaving the village.

The volunteers will record the details of vehicles which are exceeding the speed limit by around 10% in a spreadsheet listing, registration, make, model and colour and can be passed to the local police force.

Wayne Smith is currently trying to get the Police engaged so that data can be automatically sent to them from these speed checks.
More checks will be conducted, so please watch your speed through the village.
